U.S. manufacturers are rethinking their sourcing decisions in the wake of significant disruptions to global supply chains and the realization that having everything sourced from faraway places may not be such a good idea. Policy initiatives from federal and state governments, such as the CHIPS act and a new Michigan initiative, are underway to at least partially bring offshored industries back home.Downloads
