Abstract

The planning and allocation of staff, equipment, and facilities in hospitals have grown increasingly complex due to a growing demand for specialized staff and resources, as well as the need for hospitals to accommodate specific patient needs and requirements. With access to few ideal databases and restricted samples due to the lack of a mandated ratio, these calculations are not always grounded in empirical proof. As a consequence, this key metric of a well-run hospital is often subjective.
